Satoshi Noguchi is a music mixer and engineer based in New York City, specializing in film, television, video games, live productions, and albums. After over a decade in Los Angeles, the Seattle native has worked on a wide array of projects from blockbusters to independent features. He has extensive experience in studio recording and mixing worldwide, as well as live sound.
2016-17 mix projects include: The Glass Castle (feature film), The Death of Stalin (feature film), Wolf Warrior 2 (feature film), Days Gone (video game), Loving (feature film), Lion (feature film), Midnight Special (feature film), Recore (video game), Legacy (trailer/promo album), Mickey Mouse Shorts (television).
In 2013 he was nominated for a CAS mixing award for Explosions in the Sky's score for the film "Lone Survivor”.
From 2009 to 2013 he worked as a staff engineer at Hans Zimmer's Remote Control Productions where he worked on numerous blockbuster films and gained extensive experience.
Some of his recent clients include David Wingo, Chris Willis, Chad Seiter, Nathan Whitehead, Ryan Lott, Joseph Trapanese, Dustin O’Halloran, and M83. Recent studio clients include Disney, Sony Playstation, Lionsgate, Microsoft.
The Los Angeles new music group, The Echo Society, has been a creative outlet for him that provides an opportunity to work with some of the best new classical and electronic music and composers emerging from Los Angeles. He has mixed and recorded several live concerts which incorporate a hybrid of live chamber ensemble and electronic elements.
